Applying Vinyl Stickers To Glass

I have made several thousand items with adhesive vinyl so i have become quite fluent with application of the material.

For static cling decals use a wet solution to apply large decals and the dry method for small decals. Place the middle of the design down on the glass first lining up the bottom edge with the water line left below. While i m looking at my computer i lay mine on top of the glass first to gauge where i want everything. Method 1 finding a place for the decal.

Burnish the decal. Try applying the center of the sticker first then press the outer edges of the vinyl sticker into place. Pinch the vertical edges of the vinyl sticker as you place it down. Now you have one side completely done.

Apply the vinyl decal. Use the least amount of tape as possible. We recommend that you cover the entire mug and not just the decal because you will see some little brushstrokes. To apply adhesive decals clean the area properly remove the protective cover position the decal and use a hard plastic object like a credit card to apply it and remove bubbles.

Aim to do this in a fluid motion to prevent any air bubbles from forming. Applying vinyl to glass clean your glass with rubbing alcohol or glass cleaner. So cut the tape and the backing down as close to the vinyl as you can before peeling off the tape to transfer it to the glass. Cut out your wording with whatever color vinyl you want weed it and then start putting the vinyl on glass part of your frame.

To seal vinyl decals on mugs simply cover the entire mug with some dishwasher safe mod podge. They can really stand out if only on the vinyl but it looks like it was meant to be that way if you cover the whole mug. How to avoid bubbles when applying vinyl when working with vinyl and other similar materials much of the finished product depends on your techniques. Once again focus on one section at a time and press from the middle out towards the edge.

Continue holding the sticker securely as you place it on a wet or dry surface. This allows the adhesive to fully adhere. When applying vinyl to glass you need to leave the finished project for a day or two afterwards before using and washing it.
